Dr. S. Gokcek

I studied medicine at Erasmus University Rotterdam (2008–2017), where I obtained my medical degree. Prior to this, I completed the first year (propaedeutic) of Biomedical Sciences at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (2007–2008). During my studies, I completed my senior clinical rotation in anaesthesiology at IJsselland Hospital in Capelle aan den IJssel.

After my studies, I gained broad clinical experience: as a resident (ANIOS) in anaesthesiology at Franciscus Gasthuis & Vlietland, as a medical examiner at RijbewijskeuringsArts.nl, as a medical adviser at the CBR (Dutch driving licence authority) and as a donor physician at Sanquin. I also obtained certifications in Fundamental Critical Care Support (Interactie Groep) and Doctor on Board (MarkTwo Academy, 2022).

I have been part of Hairtec for 3 years. It was the combination of precision work and the direct effect on how people feel after treatment that brought me to the field of hair restoration.

At Hairtec, I am responsible for the medical guidance of patients throughout the entire process. This starts with the medical history, where I assess whether a treatment is realistic and responsible for the patient’s specific situation. Not everyone is immediately suitable for a hair transplant, and I consider stating this honestly to be just as important a part of my work as the treatment itself.

Throughout the entire medical procedure, I safeguard medical quality and safety. During the aftercare period, I guide patients. What characterises my approach is calm. Patients who come to me with doubts or concerns take the time they need. A good decision starts with a clear conversation, not with a quick appointment.
