Darina had a hair transplant to improve hair density. The Direct Hair Implantation (DHI) method was used, with the hairs transplanted directly between the existing hair. As a result she did not have to be fully shaved, so the effect was visible quickly.
Before – 12 months after the hair transplant
For a long time I was insecure about my hair and always wore a cap outside to hide my baldness. I also had little hope that my hair problem could really be solved. I had already tried many things but nothing had helped. So it was either a hairpiece or a hair transplant. But I didn’t really have much confidence that a hair transplant could help me. However, after my consultation at Hairtec I was relieved that I could share my story, and the consultant really made me feel that she completely understood me. That very same day I decided to have my hair transplant done at Hairtec. I had decided not to have my head completely shaved, and that was possible thanks to the DHI method. That meant I was less daunted by the procedure and its aftermath. On the day of the operation I was very nervous, but the kind people on the team really put me at ease. Looking back, it all turned out much better than I had expected. I’m so glad that I can now simply walk outside without a cap. That’s why I immediately agreed when they asked if they could interview me for the website. Hopefully more women will find the courage to do something about their hair loss. Because there is still a taboo around women going bald. I don’t think that needs to be the case anymore.
