We performed a DHI hair transplant on Paul. A year earlier he had undergone a hair transplant at another clinic but was not satisfied with the result. He came to us for his corrective procedure. The aim was to increase his overall hair density and to restore the asymmetrically placed hairline from his first hair transplant.

My hairline had not been to my liking since my teenage years. It was fairly high with receding temples, which made me look slightly balding even though I wasn’t. I therefore always wore my hair forward so my receding temples weren’t as noticeable. As I got older my hairline began to recede further and my hair started thinning. This happened quite slowly, so it was only later that I realised I had actually lost quite a lot of hair. That was the moment I decided to take action and chose to have a hair transplant. Of course I still had to save up for a while before I could actually make an appointment.
I then had a hair transplant at another clinic. I assumed I would be happy with the result, which is why I expected a single transplant would be enough. A year after that procedure I took stock and couldn’t help but conclude that I wasn’t entirely satisfied. My receding temples had been filled in, but the density was fairly low, which made me uncomfortable. I also had small scars and red skin in some areas. I was still wearing my hair forward, something I had hoped would be a thing of the past. So I went back to the drawing board and decided to have a second transplant.
In my search for a different clinic I came across Hairtec. A young organisation, but with a team that had been working in the world of hair transplants for far longer, both nationally and internationally. Precisely because it is a young clinic, I knew the team would spare no effort to deliver the best possible work. During the consultation I deliberately didn’t say too much about what had bothered me regarding the result of my first transplant. On the day of the treatment I was still slightly on my guard beforehand. I had felt reassured before and that had ultimately not led to a result I was completely happy with. But after just 15 minutes I already felt entirely at ease thanks to the Hairtec team’s approach. And that trust only grew throughout the day. Even the shaving of my hair was done with attention to detail.
The anaesthetic injections can feel a bit unpleasant, but the rest of the treatment is virtually painless. Of course you lie still for a long time, but the time also passes quickly. With the occasional joke thrown in, it was an enjoyable experience. The Hairtec team works meticulously and Aysegul is a magician. Everything about them shows that they want to create the best possible result and that they’re not satisfied with anything less. The feeling that gives you as a patient is incredibly reassuring, because you realise you’re in good hands.
At the end of the day I was very happy with the result and the comprehensive aftercare programme began. I found it very reassuring that the first wash was done by Hairtec. I find the washing nerve-racking and as a result I’m probably too careful. The wash on the tenth day was also a real help for me. From here it’s a matter of patience and waiting for a great result. I’m glad I came to Hairtec and grateful that the team has helped me so well. It doesn’t get better than this.
