George chose a DHI hair transplant to maximise the overall density of his hairline. Because of his profession he wanted to be fully presentable again as quickly as possible. The hair-sparing technique was therefore chosen, in which the top of the head is not shaved and the transplanted hairs are implanted between the existing hair.

I work as a doctor for Hairtec and my colleagues often joked that my own hair was a bad example for our patients. It was meant light-heartedly, but for a while I had noticed my hair was really getting thinner. I believe in “practise what you preach”, so I decided to have a hair transplant myself. I was of course fully familiar with the procedure and each step involved. I was also very confident in the team, their experience, quality and aftercare, so I went into the treatment feeling completely relaxed. But as a patient you experience the service and professionalism from an entirely different perspective. That now helps me to understand our patients even better. It also gives patients a degree of reassurance, because I can now explain from my own experience how the whole process goes. I’m now one year on from the hair transplant and I can see that the progress is very positive. So proud of the team and happy with the result — thanks colleagues!
